Islamic study in Ramadhan and break the fast together
There
were many people in conference room of
Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo on
Wednesday May 23, 2018.
They consist of students, lecturers and
society .
They join an event
here. The event is known as islamic study in ramadhan and break the fast together.
This event was held
during ramadhan month in the conference
room of muhammadiyah university of purworejo and started at 16.45 PM. Muhammad Annur, one of the
committees, said that the target of
this event is students, lecturers, and
the public/ society. “And this event has a purpose to
improve the sense of kinship and tighten the bonds”, Muhammad Annur said.
There were many agendas in this event. The event began with islamic study in
ramadhan, breaking the fast together, then
pray maghrib , pray isya and the last is pray tarawih.
At 16.45, the opening was started.
Then, continue to the next agenda , introducing the speaker by translator from Kemiri and
Tuksongo Purworejo. There were 2 translators because the speaker is come from
Egypt. The first one is a lecturer in Chicago and the second is an alumnus of
al-azhar university.
“The reason why do we invite the
abroad speaker is to increase knowledge and insight into the wider Islam”,
Muhammad Annur said.
The next agenda was speech by the speaker from Egypt.
“He is a lecturer in Chicago,
USA”, Muhammad Annur said.
The speaker brought a speech with the theme “The islamic differences between the past and present in America.”
He talked about Once
in America the adherents of Islam were very few. Not like now. It shows that in
this century islam is better than the
last century.
“The diamond mosque is very scattered so can easily be found. So to
worship is not as difficult as it once was. It's just that there is one
weakness they are lower than the Indonesian Muslims is when asked how many
children they will answer the number of their pets. Unlike Indonesian Muslims
who will clearly mention the number of children even his name,” He said.
In the end of speech he suggest us as Muslims in Indonesia, we should be
grateful for being able to worship very easily, complete facilities, and the
government's attention to Islam is maximal.
After kajian finished, then the next agenda is breaking the fast together. And then pray maghrib,
pray isya, religion speech before pray tarawih, It is about 15 minutes, and the
last is pray tarawih.
“I hope this event can be done every year, and become better than in
previous years.” Muhammad Annur said.
